Have you ever wondered about the best way to connect with locals and know about the local produce? Well, what better way than going to the local market. Every weekend Geelong has a range of markets at various parts of the region where you can find fresh fruits and vegetables, homemade crafts, jewellery, plants and clothing, eco-friendly products and many more.

With the beginning of September, we have officially entered spring. I cannot think of a better way to enjoy the sun than by going for a morning walk, popping by a local market and getting your essentials – maybe, take a break from your usual supermarket visit. Personally, I enjoy going to these farmer’s market once in a while as I get to listen to stories, which can be as simple as tips and tricks for growing plants in your back yard to some really inspiring ones. These conversations make me feel less of a machine and keep me grounded. Also, becoming acquainted with the locals helps you better understand the culture of that area.
