I’d like to say “Good Luck” to people who are leaving and say “keep fighting” to the people who are still here. My friends, don’t waste your time! At Last, I hope I’ll not get detentions for the rest of my Avalon Life. Thank You.
Although I’m not leaving this weekend, I’m giving a speech here. First of all, it is such a pleasure being at Avalon College in which people make me very happy in my early overseas study life.
On my first day I came to Avalon College, I didn’t understand what Mr Parkin was saying to me. I didn’t recognise why people were finishing their first meal and then went to the kitchen and filled their bowls again. Now, I know this was called “Seconds”. I also couldn’t hear clearly what the teachers were talking about. I thought the people around me, people in my class were smarter than me. That is the cause of my worst habit thinking to myself that “this is hopeless!”
Gradually, I’ve found out that everyone is friendly here. We can help each other and support each other as a big family. At the beginning I didn’t do very well, Even though my teacher, Mrs Ashton, often encouraged me. Ms Ed always told me what my weaknesses were and in which way I could get over it. Mrs Birchell also gave me a lot of help about my writing and reading.
I think I’ve got thousands and thousands of “thanks” to say, but the time is limited. Anyway, Ive learnt a lot from here, especially Mr Parkin who has given me three morning detentions and two running detentions exactly when I thought I would never ever be punished till my departure. Thanks Mrs Akila who cooked lots of delicious food for us and Ms Tamara who took care of me several times.

After finishing this fantastic journey in Avalon, finally it's my turn to give a speech. The experience in Avalon was quite tough for me. I still remember my first week at Avalon College. Mrs Kay asked me to go to her office and she said "OH, Mr Ezee, I don't think you can graduate on time!" However after 6 months of hard working, I did it! I did it with the help of my teachers and staff. I'm the person who has been everyone's classmate in all the classes. So I made lots of friends and I would like to thank Mrs Grey for giving me the first grammar test on my first day. I would like to thank Mr Nontapan for playing an amusing game with us, I would like to thank Ms Jones for showing her lovely laughing and Mr Ed for being extremely helpful to me. Thank you Mrs Kay for pushing me so hard that I have to do my best every day. Thank you to all the staff that gave me so many detentions in which I finished my last one yesterday. Finally, I learned how to discipline myself.
Thank you to Mrs Akila for providing all the delicacies to include the pasta. At last, I need to say thank you to all my friends as they are the first group of friends that I made in another country. I have to treasure them.
Now I can't hesitate and I will go to my new school. But I am sure I will miss this amazing place. See you.
