Waterfront dining + Awesome views

Monday, 09 January 2017

The days are getting longer and the sun is shining upon us more and more each day.

Wander along the Geelong Waterfront to enjoy all the sights and activity but more importantly, fuel yourself with good food, a few cocktails and fish and chips literally off the boat. But what about those views!

The Waterfront provides the perfect spot to dine alfresco and partake in a bit of people watching if that's your thing. Only meters away from the waters edge you can find something to feed the whole family, a romantic setting or a place to catch up with your besties for social drinks.

Located at the end of Cunningham Pier gather the girls for some quality hangs. Prance up the grand staircase to City Quarter bar for drinks and nibbles any time of day.

Pop downstairs with the friends to Wah Wah Gee and take a journey through the collection of Asian inspired sharing dishes cleverly created by some of the best kitchen ninjas in town. The food is hot and so is the view.

Heading towards Eastern Beach you may recognise the icon that is Fishersmen's Pier. Dishing up fresh seafood and other superb dishes since 1971, along with the view you know the food will always be exquisite.

Just the length of a few sails boats further along the waterfront, you'll find the Royal Geelong Yacht Club. Don't fear, everyone is invited inside this welcoming venue and your coffee always comes with a serve of fresh sea air. Over summer they have some awesome events including their Summer Sessions on the lawn with croquet, Pimm's and other cool stuff.

The Geelong Boat House. What can we say? This view + fish and chips + a glass of wine. Happy days. Of course take away is available to enjoy on the grass on the banks of Western Beach with the family.

And don't forget the summer essentials on the waterfront. Gelati vans and hot jam donuts. You'll easily find the beacon of joy along the waterfront day or night.
